Established in 2000, Celtic Journeys is committed and experienced at providing excellence in service and value to all our clients. As a result of our philosophy, repeat travelers and referrals make up the core of our business. With a base in the US and in Ireland you are always assured of our attention.
With an emphasis on small group tours at our foundation, we search out unique local experiences, allow time to explore the locality and ensure you enjoy a relaxed pace while making the most of your time.
While our passion is Ireland, like the Celts before us, Celtic Journeys travels to many lands. We welcome the opportunity to share our knowledge of these destinations with you.
We look forward to sharing our special destinations with you, escorting you through Ireland or helping you plan your own private journey, and working closely with you to create an extraordinary journey full of lasting memories.
Our Rule:
“If we have been there and found it inspiring, we love to share the destination with friends, old and new.”
Born in Waterford, Ireland, Maria began her career in tourism in the hotel industry before moving into destination management in Ireland for 14 years. In 1996 she married a St. Paul native and moved to the USA, and continued to do what she loves in tourism working in the airline and incentive areas before founding Celtic Journeys in 2000.
Having traveled extensively and acquired vast knowledge, Maria still enjoys researching new and unique options and finding the right fit for our clients. Her philosophy is “if I won’t take my loved ones there why should I send anyone else, quality and value are a priority and that should apply to whether your trip costs $1,000 or $10,000”.
Maria enjoys reading, and of course, traveling.
